Today the President signed into law healthcare reform which extended the therapy cap exceptions process until the end of the year. This is of course good news in the Therapy world, but we must not give up on pushing our members of Congress to eliminate the cap once and for all. There is word around Capitol Hill that Congress is working on implementing the "Doc Fix" which would head off the planned 21 percent cut in medicare reimbursement to doctors. This cut would once again come into effect on April 1st. Congress will have a tough time taking the heat from the leading medical organizations but phone calls from regular constituents is also very crucial.
